Eligibility, Enrolling & Making Changes

Eligibility

If you are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, you are eligible for benefits on your date of hire. Your dependents may also be eligible for many of the benefits we offer. Eligible dependents include:

  • Spouse or domestic partner*
  • Dependent children up to age 26

*If enrolling a domestic partner, please read the Domestic Partner Definition document available on this site to ensure eligibility.

Enrolling & Making Changes

The choices you make when you first become eligible will remain in effect for the remainder of the plan year. It’s important to review your benefit options carefully and choose the best coverage for you and your family.

You have three opportunities to enroll in or make changes to your benefits:

  1. Enroll within 30 days of your eligibility date as a new hire (no changes permitted after submission of elections via Workday).
  2. During the annual Open Enrollment period (no changes permitted after OE period ends).
  3. Within 30 days of a qualified life event (no changes permitted after coverage effective date).
    Examples include:
    • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
    • Birth or adoption of a child
    • Death of a dependent
    • Loss or gain of other health coverage for you and/or dependents
    • Change in employment status
    • Change in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility for you or a dependent
    • Receipt of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order

Need to Make a Change?

Please email PeopleOperations@acadia-pharm.com if you wish to make changes to your enrollment due to a qualifying life event. You have 30 days from the effective date of the qualifying life event to make changes to your coverage.

Keep in mind: Any change you make to your coverage must be consistent with the change in status.
